Many countries around the world are now committed to the development of renewable energy. In Europe, for example, wind energy plays a key role in energy transition. Entire governments and large companies are promoting solutions for wind energy projects. Commissioning capacities are being increased, billions of dollars are being invested in the creation of wind farms, and the technologies themselves are being developed. How do we know what it really is: a good politicking, a business supported by lobbyists and fertilised with subsidies, or the new wind energy industry is just simply really effective?
In Russia, there are opinions that “windmills” never return the energy spent on their production and installation. And what do the figures show? Are the fears caused by noise, vibration and the impact on the ecosystems of wind turbines reasonable?
At the webinar we’ll talk about:
- Wind-based generation payback;
- Economic benefits at each stage of the WPP project life cycle;
- “Damage” caused by wind turbines and their impact on the environment etc.
