NovaWind started the construction of the Marchenkovskaya wind power plant in the Rostov Oblast. The total capacity of a future wind power plant is planned to be 120 MW. At the site, 48 wind turbines (WT) with a unit capacity of 2.5 MW will be installed, their planned average annual output will be 402 GWh. The volume of investments in the creation of the wind farm is more than 16 billion roubles.
As of today, more than 40 units of building machinery are already working at the site, as well as more than 100 workers and engineering and technical specialists. The works on static tests of bearing capacity of soils with bored piles have been completed.
Materials for foundation works are being brought to the site. Two concrete plants with a total capacity of 170 cubic meters of concrete mixture per hour were installed. Works on development of foundation excavations and reinforcement of future WT foundations are in progress.
JSC NovaWind is responsible for the Rosatom’s wind power assets and for delivering its wind strategy. In total, enterprises under control of the NovaWind stand to create 1GW wind farms build-out by 2023.
