On June 25, the first meeting of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the International Forum on Renewable Energy ARWE 2019 was held in Moscow under the chairmanship of the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region Sergey Morozov. The event was attended by the CEO of JSC “Elektrifikaciya” Vladimir Zatynayko and the Chairman of the Russian Association of the Wind Power Industry (RAWI) Igor Bryzgunov.
The meeting discussed the work on the formation of a business program for ARWE 2019 with an emphasis on the effective interaction within the localization programs between suppliers and key customers of the renewable energy industry.
Particular attention was paid to the consideration of the Forum concept, which unites the Congress, the International Specialized Exhibition and the Technical Tour.
During the Congress, a number of business events are planned, which are devoted to topical issues of the industry development, with the participation of representatives of government authorities, leading energy and investment companies, as well as recognized experts in the RES field.
At the Renewable Energy Exhibition, for the first time, renowned manufacturers and suppliers will demonstrate advanced technologies and equipment, and potential market participants will present innovative solutions for the industry development.
The Technical Tour involves visiting the production facilities of the Ulyanovsk region, a pioneer of Russian wind power, by the forum participants.
“We place great emphasis on the wind energy issues; in this field, we have been working for a long time and have become a leading region, which pays attention to the alternative energy development. We have our wind farms being built, we will implement a project to localize the production of wind energy components. Therefore, it is logical, if our region becomes a platform for the exchange of best practices in this industry,” – said the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region Sergey Morozov, commenting on the preparations for the Forum.
“The preparation of the Congress agenda will take into account the ongoing global changes and is aimed at long-term solutions. We expect that, at ARWE 2019, our members will be able to present practical experience, which is so important for the industry development, and discuss it with representatives of the public and investors,” – the RAWI Chairman Igor Bryzgunov shared his views.
Strengthening of the investment unit will be the feature of ARWE 2019, which would include the organization of direct communication between regional development corporations, equipment suppliers and the industry’s largest companies.
“A particular place will be given to creating the image of the region as an investment-attractive area, as well as holding business meetings with investors who have the desire and opportunity to participate in localization programs in the Russian regions. Even this day, we can say that, judging by the number and composition of participants, ARWE 2019 will be the largest event of the alternative energy sector in Russia and C.I.S. countries. Visitors to the Exhibition will be able to see the wind generators components with their own eyes – gondolas, blades, bearings of the swivel gear, which are more than human in size, dozens of times as big,” – emphasized Vladimir Zatynayko, CEO of JSC “Elektrifikaciya”.
Additionally, the meeting participants discussed a program for promoting Forum topics on foreign platrfroms on the topic of renewable energy and, in particular, wind power energy.
It should be reminded that the largest international forum on renewable energy ARWE 2019 will be held in Ulyanovsk region in 2019 on the basis of Ulyanovsk nanotechnology center ULNANOTECH with the support of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation and the assistance of the RAWI.
The Forum is instituted by JSC “Elektrifikaciya”, one of the largest operators of congress and exhibition projects in the field of electric-power industry, inter alia the Russian Energy Week, the ENES, the #VmesteYarche (Translato’s note: Russian for “brighter together”), All-Russian Festival of Energy Saving and others.
