Chairman of the Russian Association of the Wind Industry will participate in the SPIEF-2018

Chairman of the Russian Association of the Wind Industry (RAWI) Igor Bryzgunov will attend the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will be held in St. Petersburg from May 24 to 26.

Wind energy has become part of Russia’s energy and industrial strategy along with traditional energy sources. Within the framework of state support for renewable energy sources until 2024, the main market participants will put into operation 3,350 MW of wind parks and the first ones have already been commissioned. Enterprises are being created for the production of blades, towers and assembly of gondolas by a wide range of Russian enterprises. The estimated investment in the new market is more than three hundred billion rubles.

The purpose of RAWI participation in the SPIEF’2018 is a number of tasks: discussion of the expansion of the association’s activities in organizing the localization of production of components for wind generators in Russia, the possibilities of creating a Russian model range of wind generators and discussing the extension of the legislative support for RES in Russia after 2024 and the creation of the Russian national annual wind energy exhibition ARWE , an agreement on which, among other things, was signed with the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region Sergei Morozov on May 16.
