After the work on brand renewal and formation of the general marketing concept, Avtokran-Tyumen returned to the ranks of full members of the Russian Association of Wind Power Industry. It effectively happened back at the end of 2021, when the company supported RAWIFORUM’2021 and took an active part in its work.

Avtokran-Tyumen is a business with its own history in the wind power industry. The company has been operating in the market for mobile crane services, oversized cargo transportation and high installation work since 2000 and was initially categorised as a ‘small business’. By 2016, thanks to its active participation in the construction of oil and gas facilities, capacity expansion and replenishment of equipment fleet, diversification and raising qualified personnel, Avtokran-Tyumen joined the ranks of ‘medium business’ companies, and a few years later – of ‘big business’ companies.

When considering further development, the company saw the value of the potential and prospects of renewable energy and took part in the implementation of several wind power projects in Kazakhstan. As a result, wind power has become one of the company’s key activities.

Today Avtokran-Tyumen is Novawind’s primary partner in the construction and commissioning of wind power plants in Russia’s leading wind energy regions: Stavropol Krai, Rostov Oblast, Republic of Adygea. The Adygeyskaya, Kochubeyevskaya and Marchenkovskaya wind farms are among the many projects already implemented by the company.

The Adygeyskaya wind farm is the first completed wind power project of Rosatom (60 wind turbines with a total capacity of 150 MW). Since May 2019, Avtokran-Tyumen has carried out work here in a range of areas, including modular assembly, mechanical installation, electrical installation and commissioning support.

The Kochubeyevskaya wind farm is currently the largest wind farm in operation in Russia (84 wind turbines with a total capacity of 210 MW). Since April 2020, Avtokran-Tyumen has been one of the main Russian partners actively involved in the construction of this wind power facility. Around 70 pieces of equipment were mobilised to work expeditiously on such a large-scale task.

The Marchenkovskaya wind farm is NovaWind’s first wind farm in the Rostov Oblast (48 wind turbines with a total capacity of 120 MW). This project was a real test of strength, both for the people and the 80 pieces of special equipment. The work was carried out at the end of 2020 – in winter, in conditions of strong winds, heavy snowfalls and blizzards. Avtokran-Tyumen stood the test with dignity and proved itself as a reliable partner able to provide high quality work in all weather conditions.

Over the 20 years of its operation, Avtokran-Tyumen has accumulated vast experience and today is capable of carrying out the most complex and extraordinary tasks. The professional team offers a comprehensive approach in the implementation of wind power projects, from wind farm design to commissioning support. Specialists of Avtokran-Tyumen have GWO certification, confirming high qualification and availability of all necessary competences in the field of wind turbine installation.

Returning to RAWI, the company stresses that the potential of the wind energy market in Russia is enormous, which means that there are many interesting and large-scale projects ahead for its members.
