High-performance Controller Designed for Wind Turbines’ Top Efficiency
The Axiocontrol AXC 3050 programmable logic controller (PLC) designed by Phoenix Contact (a member of the RAWI) was made to be optimally suited for wind power applications.

The high processing speed allows complex regular tasks to be solved with remarkable accuracy. Functions such as fast counters and event tasks are integrated directly into the controller. These features reduce response times without the need for special I/O modules. The robust and electromagnetic field-resistant housing is suitable for wind turbine applications and functions reliably in the harsh conditions typical of offshore wind farms.

To build local stations, e.g. in a rotor hood or nacelle, Axioline I/O modules can be connected to the controller if required. Three Ethernet interfaces make it easy to integrate the AXC 3050 PLC into existing park networks and to add additional decentralised I/O modules.

The user can select the communication protocol PROFINET, TCP/IP, UDP or Modbus/TCP, with the PLC acting as a controller and PROFINET device. The USB connector enables easy data logging on removable media and easy updating of the controller software. In the event of a voltage disconnection, the Axiocontrol PLC automatically saves all control data to a flash card.
