Pola Maria, the general cargo ship, Russian designation Project RSD59 operated by the Pola Rise (member of the Pola Group, a member of the RAWI), which was built at the Krasnoye Sormovo plant, went on the first flight to Denmark loaded with blades for wind turbines (WT), – Igor Bryzgunov, Chairman of the Russian Association Wind Power Industry, told PortNews Information & Analytical Agency. He made a point about Pola Rise being a member of the Association and providing transportation of 48 WT blades made by Vestas (also a member of the RAWI) from Russia to Denmark.
“These are the first blades produced under the programme of localisation of wind turbines components in Russia,” said Mr. Bryzgunov.
On the night of 21-22 May, the vessel passed through the lifted bridges of St. Petersburg.
As previously reported by the PortNews IAA, the Pola Maria was delivered to the customer on April 30, 2020.
The RSD59 project was designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau – SPb. The detailed construction documentation of the vessel was prepared by the Volga-Caspian Design Bureau.
