By 2035-2040, the regional authorities plan to increase the total capacity of wind farms in the region to 1 GW. The team of the Ulyanovsk Oblast is also actively working on projects for localisation of wind turbine components production; the first and the most significant project was the production of Vestas blades, also the team is building a full-fledged wind energy cluster with a developed industrial part, projects in education and science.
