Siemens Gamesa (RAWI member) will act as a technological partner and equipment supplier within the framework of implementation of the Kolskaya WPP project in the Murmansk Oblast. This is an important step for Siemens Gamesa in the localization of its products. Wind turbine production is launched at the site of Siemens Tekhnologii Gazovykh Turbin, LLC (STGT) in the Leningrad Oblast.
With an installed capacity of 201 MW, it is currently the largest wind farm under construction beyond the Arctic Circle. The construction will be carried out by Enel Green Power, a division of Enel Group responsible for the development, construction and operation of renewable energy facilities worldwide. The wind park, which is slated to be completed in 2021, is expected to have investments of around 273 million euros.
