“INTER RAO Engineering” To Build A Wind Farm In The Rostov Oblast

INTER RAO Engineering, LLC will build the Gukovo-1 wind power plant (WPP) in Krasnosulinsky District, Rostov Oblast, Russia with a capacity of 98.8 MW. This is the first renewables project for the company.

INTER RAO Engineering, LLC in a consortium with Integrated Energy Solutions, LLC won the respective tender, the customer of which was the Tretiy Vetropark FRV, LLC. In accordance with the terms of the contract, the companies will perform a full range of construction and installation, electrical installation and commissioning works within the framework of the Gukovo-1 WPP construction project. The works should be completed within one year.

Gukovo-1 WPP is to consist of 26 wind turbines with an installed capacity of 3.8 MW each, featuring additionally a WPP control module and a backup power supply unit for it, i.e. a diesel generator unit.

“For the first time, LLC INTER RAO Engineering participated in the tender for the construction of wind turbines, so this victory is an important step in the history of the company,” said Yury Sharov, Director General of LLC INTER RAO Engineering. – Timely and high-quality implementation of the project will allow us to increase our competence and give us an opportunity to actively participate in similar projects in the future.”
