This year, the range of events organized by the Russian Association of the Wind Power Industry is expanding significantly. The RAWI Board approved the plan of events for 2018. The Association has planned work in such a way as to provide its members and market participants with the opportunity not only to upgrade the skills of their employees, but also to participate in export-oriented events, the possibility of direct communication with their customers, visits to wind farms and wind turbine producing enterprises.

An example is the Supplier’s Day, which will be held on April 10-11 during the ARWE exhibition in Sochi. The event was organized on the initiative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The goal of the event is to help speed up the process of localizing components for wind turbines in Russia – to expand the number of component suppliers to vendors – Vestas, SGRE (Siemens-Gamesa-Renewables), Lagerwey (Rosatom).

Legislative prospects for supporting RES after 2024 in Russia become the main topic of discussion among professionals. Today, there are serious grounds to be sure that the State will continue to support the new energy sector after 2024 as well. But what will be the mechanism of this support? Will the LTCA program continue or will there be a different mechanism? These questions formed the basis for the agenda of the round table “Legislative support of RES after 2024. Positions and prospects”, which we organize in the framework of the Russian International Energy Forum on April 26, 2018. We expect a lively discussion of leading experts and market participants, representatives of the regions. In the near future we will inform you about the beginning of registration for the event.

This year, in the field of active attention of RAWI is the wind energy of the retail market and wind energy of Arctic and isolated systems, at the new thematic international conference “Wind Energy of Arctic and Isolated Regions-2018”, the problems of energy supply of Arctic and isolated systems will be discussed, Russian and foreign companies. The event is scheduled for October 18, 2018 and we are actively working on the formation of the program, the suggestions of the interested participants are welcomed.

The program of educational seminars has also expanded: for activities of a direct practical application, for example, “Organization of technical and service maintenance of wind turbines”, which will begin already on February 26, events were added that will help assess the risks of development and construction of wind farms – “Practical implementation of the wind power plant project, ways of solution “,” Project management and development of wind farms “, study tours to Europe for wind turbine manufacturers and construction sites for wind farms, All measures The seminars are organized with the participation of well-known experts in the market.

In order to expand the opportunities for the export of Russian enterprises, the first this year, RAWI will organize a collective stand at the global exhibition WindEnergy Hamburg 2018. The stand will be visited by more than 35 000 experts and about 1400 leading companies in wind energy and related industries from all over the world, the stand participants will find new partners in this dynamically developing market. Participants are invited.
