RAWI Brings New-to-the-Market Wind Turbine Developer to Russia

The main goal of the Russian Association of Wind Power Industry is to provide positive hands-on assistance and support to its members. This involves entering new markets, business development, setting up wind farms from scratch and increasing production, design, construction and logistics orders intake.

Participating in RAWI projects and initiatives provides it members with an opportunity to network with top executives from a wide range of sectors. “While the Russian wind power industry is rather young and is still in its infancy, we are making every effort for our members and partners to help them communicate effectively about market development and find new partners. RAWI acts as a provider in the Russian wind energy market. We do value our members’ competencies and expertise and delighted to try and help disseminate their experience,” chairman of the association Igor Bryzgunov said.

RAWI’s key principles are particularly valuable for foreign companies intending to establish themselves in the Russian market and find local partners and clients.

One recent case is a partnership with one of the world’s longest-standing wind energy engineering companies, which has developed wind turbines for the vast majority of global brands. Wind turbines designed by the organisation generate reliable power on all five continents allowing their operators to avoid damaging the environment.

The company approached RAWI with a request to find new partners and suppliers of equipment, including generators. The association’s executive board carried out comprehensive actions to link the foreign player and Russian member-companies.

As the result, thanks to RAWI, the company now has the opportunity to manufacture its wind turbines in Russia. The stakeholders expect to be able to share their illustrative results in the near future.
