The Russian Association of Wind Power Industry invites you to a webinar on ‘Environmental Points of Renewable Energy’. During the meeting, representatives of European companies will share their experiences of effectively minimising and completely eliminating waste in wind energy and its environmental impact.
Even before entering the wind energy market, many are wondering about the environmental safety of wind power plants. One of the most pressing issues is the decommissioning and dismantling of wind turbines. Investors are interested in all aspects of a zero-waste, closed-loop circular economy, environmental impact, equipment life and dismantling, component recycling and reuse opportunities. In response to this demand, plant manufacturers are striving to make wind turbines zero-waste. One of the industry’s leading companies, Vestas (a member of the RAWI), is taking a more thorough approach, pledging to achieve zero waste by 2040. Vestas spearheaded the creation of the CETEC (Circular Economy for Thermosets Epoxy Composites) group, which recently announced the development of new technology that will enable the recycling and reuse of composite blades. The challenge over the next three years is to develop a solution for the commercial application of the new closed-loop technology.
