The VetroSGC-2, a JSC NovaWind subsidiary, was granted a permit to build the 60 MW Medvezhenskaya wind power plant (WPP) in the Trunovsky Municipal District of the Stavropol Krai.

Obtaining the permit was preceded by an outline approval of the expert examination of design documentations issued by the Autonomous Unit of the Stavropol Krai “State construction expert assessment department” for the construction of the WPP consisting of 24 wind turbines with 2.5 MW unit capacity.

Successful undergoing of the examination confirms that the design documentation for the WPP construction facilities meets the results of sanitary-epidemiological requirements, engineering surveys and requirements of all technical regulations of the Urban Development Code of the Russian Federation.

The Stavropol Krai is a key region for NovaWind delivering its strategy. The 210 MW Kochubeevskaya wind farm, the largest in Russia to date, is operational in the region. At present, the region is building 180 MW of wind farms.

In total, enterprises operating under the management of NovaWind stand to build some 1.2 GW of wind farms by 2024.
