TsATEK Green Energy is implementing an investment project to build a wind power plant (WPP) in the Akmola region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Five 3.7 MW wind turbines have already been installed near the Krasny Yar village’s hippodrome.

Currently, seven more 750 kW wind turbines are being installed, which are scheduled to be commissioned by late 2020. In total, 12 wind turbines will supply power for the regional centre.

In the near future, it is planned to build 11 more 1600 kW wind turbines. In addition, a large substation is going to be built in the same area near the village of Krasny Yar.

The construction of the wind farm is a stage of practical implementation of projects presented at the EXPO-2017 international specialised exhibition. The total cost of the project is 46.1 billion tenge.
