35 of 84 WTs Installed at Kochubeyevskaya Wind Farm Building Site

The Kochubeyevskaya wind power plant in the Stavropol Krai – a NovaWind’s project – is going to become Russia’s largest wind power facility. Its commissioning is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2020.

As of today, 35 out of 84 upcoming wind turbines have been fully installed at the territory of the Kochubeyevskaya WPP, and 64 sites are being prepared for the following WT installation. On average, under favourable weather conditions, up to five new turbines get installed per week.

The works are going on in all directions at once, and it allows maintaining the declared construction time. More than 600 specialists take the trouble at the construction site every day to ensure that the first power from wind turbines is delivered to the grid on schedule.

The capacity of each wind turbine used in the Kochubeyevskaya WPP is 2.5 MW. Earlier, the Governor of the Stavropol Krai Vladimir Vladimirov noted the high importance of wind projects for the region as he visited the wind farm.
