Wind Farm in Adygeya Republic Starts Supplying Electricity to Wholesale Market

The Adygeyskaya wind power plant began supplying electricity to the wholesale electricity market. The power plant is operated by NovaWind, JSC, a part of Rosatom group.

According to the company’s press service, the capacity of the Adygeyskaya WPP is 150MW. It consists of 60 wind turbines (WT). The degree of localisation of the equipment is 65%. NovaWind plans to bring it to 80-85%. Rosatom is engaged in designing wind power plants, creating its own production of WT components, managing the chain of suppliers and logistics of components to the site, as well as subsequent service and operation.

At present, the state corporation is implementing the programme of WPP construction at four more sites: in the Stavropol Krai and the Rostov Oblast. By 2023 Rosatom will put 1 GW of wind parks with a total capacity of 1 GW into operation.

Investment in the Adygeyskaya WPP totaled about 23 billion roubles.
