RAWI's mission
RAWI is a united body which consolidates and promotes viewpoints and efforts of its participants and assists in establishing and fulfilling the national energy strategy which is to form and develop Russian wind power market.
RAWI's mission defines its main goals:
- establish a consolidated viewpoint about developing a wind power market in Russia;
- act as a joining link between RAWI members and state authorities;
- spread the knowledge about wind power and form a positive public opinion about it;
- coordinate RAWI members’ activities;
- strengthen wind power industry position on the Russian energy market;
- arrange cooperation among companies, organizations and enterprises that are wind power market players on national and international level;
- attract internal and foreign investments into Russian wind power industry;
- develop Russian wind power science along with corresponding universities for the industry benefits and train qualified specialists;
- improve Russia’s image globally as the country with developed industrial and technological capacity and high nature management ways.
In order to reach the goals mentioned above RAWI arranges its activities in the following main directions:
1. Legal
- Lobby industry legislation in state bodies.
- Provide legal support for wind power developers interacting with local state bodies and governing authorities at all stages of wind parks establishment.
2. Education and advertising
- Participate in the international exhibitions and conferences to represent collective interests of RAWI members in front of the international wind power community
- Support advertising and educational campaigns for wind power that are carried out by RAWI members
- Explain advantages of using wind power equipment as energy source in public and to the state authorities on local, regional and state levels.
- Organize and participate in specialized energy conferences, exhibitions and tenders.
- Carry out workshops\lessons for University students and interested parties' personnel
- Prepare and distribute specialized and well-known information media - recommendations, reviews among RAWI members and other interested parties.
- Post e-copies of wind power paper media on RAWI website.
- Send out RAWI and EWEA (European wind energy association) media in Russian and English to RAWI members and other stakeholders.
3. Economic
- Assist in grounding wind power projects’ economic efficiency and finding investors at any project stage.
- Assist in searching and evaluating wind park sites.
- Assist industrial enterprises in receiving orders to produce completing parts for wind turbines or arrange their manufacture at Russian enterprises.
4. Support business development
- Assist in designing, constructing and managing wind power station projects (construction and management).
- Represent and lobby interests of RAWI members in tenders and competitions about building wind power stations, supplying equipment and developing infrastructure.
- Arrange cooperation with international wind power associations.
- Assist RAWI members in finding and establishing contacts with international wind power equipment producers.
Who can join RAWI?
Any juridical body regardless of country or region can join RAWI if interested in developing wind power in Russia.
