About RAWI

Most energy sources pollute or influence the environment in this or that way. Only sun and wind are two energy suppliers that cause almost zero influence, but both sources are rather inconstant. They are unfailing environment friendly energy sources.

The wind was the first natural source used by mankind for its benefit. Sail and wind-engine were the first inventions in the field of energy. The sail allowed mankind to explore the world. Windmills were operating in Persia 200 b.c. and were used in China even much earlier. Several centuries have passed and steam and electricity epoch has come. When energy crisis escalated, wind stations gained more appeal, and the current raw-materials shortage and environmental problems are boosting commercial usage of alternative energy sources. Experimental and industrial energy stations are designed, built and maintained.

Reviews of the Russian wind power conclude that many small-scale units are under development. The large-capacity wind power stations made up to 1990 were financed from the budget and were made in the frame of state programs. Of course due to the hardships encountered by Russian economics in the last 10 years nobody would talk about budget financing of the alternative energy development programs, therefore a tangible sector for operations  covers small and medium capacity wind power units.

RAWI aims at forming and developing wind power market in Russia. Together we can not only strengthen Russian wind power in the field of science operating for the industry and high education benefits. We can also assist in improving Russia's global image as a country with high technologies and huge industrial capacity.
